Join a day flight to Darwin and be transferred to the Holiday Inn Esplanade for four nights, after check in we join a Sunset cruise on our tropical harbor with canapés and drinks included.
Sunday - Wednesday
Morning free to explore our tropical city with the afternoon yours to enjoy the famous Mindil Beach Markets(Sundays Only), which is a sunset beach market on the CBD fringe.
Monday - Thursday
Today we explore Litchfield National Park with its many spring fed waterfalls and intriguing giant termite mounds, spectacular scenery and monsoonal rainforests. We also pass Window's of the Wetlands, Humpty Doo and enjoy a Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River.
Tuesday - Friday
Approximately 220km east of Darwin lies one of Australia's best known treasures, Kakadu National Park. Leaving Darwin, we travel the Arnhem Highway across the Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains. A wide selection of native wildlife has made this region their home. Stop at Nourlangie Rock where you’re Driver/Guide will lead a walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art. After lunch (available for purchase), we join our local guide for a cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colorful range of birdlife this region is renowned for. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu, before returning to Darwin.
Wednesday - Saturday
Join The Ghan for the only North - South Transcontinental Train journey in the World. Pausing in Katherine, where you have the opportunity to cruise through Nitmiluk National Park. Continue mid afternoon to Alice Springs.
Thursday - Sunday
Arrive in Alice Springs mid morning; Tour the sights of 'The Alice' including the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Learn how this marvelous facility operates to provide a 'Mantle of Safety' to the people of the 'outback'. We visit the School of the Air, where sometimes we are able to listen to the children take lessons on air, as well as the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you will see unique Central Australian reptiles such as the Perentie lizard and Thorny Devil. We also take in a panoramic view of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill. Overnight Accommodation at Alice Springs Resort.
Friday - Monday
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for morning tea and later stop to view majestic Mt. Conner, before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon tour in a small group around the base of Uluru, exploring the many caves and ancient rock art, then off to the sunset viewing area to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and watch the colourful effect of the setting sun on Ayers Rock (Uluru). Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort - Desert Gardens.
Saturday - Tuesday
Enjoy a free morning to relax prior to you onward flight.
